Angela Hicks is a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University with a B.A. in Art and a Minor in Interdisciplinary Studies & Communications. From 2008-2021 she dedicated her time to the Center for Arts of Bonita Springs as an instructor, volunteer, and Youth Education Director. Her programs included dance (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, pointe, & cultural dances), visual art, history, theater, science, technology, and sustainability.

She's currently a manager for the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center in Fort Myers, FL for Hospitality and is an educator for their Create-ED youth art and music program 2022. As a visual artist, her body of work ranges from painting landscapes and portraits to creating one of a kind tea pot sets. Her inspiration comes from years of international travel where she continue her art history, epigraphy, paleography, and architectural studies.

Her dance background is supported by a decade of experience in professional dance companies, independent study and training with professionals such as Ryan Heffington (Choreographer for Sia's Elastic Heart and Chandelier), Derek Mitchell (Choreographer for So You Think You Can Dance), and Dana Moore (Broadway star in Fosse, Chicago, Sweet Charity, and A Chorus Line). As a contemporary dancer and sharp sword balancer she has been featured at local art festivals, national conventions, and performed for HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco for the Art of The Olympians Welcoming Ceremony in 2011. Her sword dance is a dangerous act with a powerful message about overcoming fears and balance of mind, body and soul. She has a passion for inspiring people and helping her students express and develop their natural talents.
